- I have recently tried using the external midi sync between an Amiga
- running Octamed V5 and a PC running CakeWalk 3.00. I already sync the
- PC to a 4-track tape machine plus and synth workstation sequencer and
- that works fine, however with the Amiga I have found that the sync is
- not always accurate (I think this may be related to tempo changes, I
- haven't quite worked that out yet).
-
- Also, the problem with the approach you have suggested, and I
- currently use, is that you need to sequence on both platforms, what
- you really need is software that would let you use the Amiga as a
- sample player and do all the sequencing on the MAC (or a PC in my
- case) . If you are only interested in non-tunable samples ie drums
- then the file ProjectMidi in Aminet mus/midi will do the trick. I
- don't know what you can use for 'melodic' samples. I have recently
- posted an thread in this group and am waiting to see if anyone else
- can help.
